SPIRITUALITY
AND HUMOR

The Buffalo Story
A man stepped over a low fence at the zoo's wildlife preserve and walked up to two buffalo. He said, "I'm ashamed of both of you, standing out in public looking the way you look. You are so dirty there is no telling when you had your last bath. Your hair is all matted together. You're overweight. You always have your head down, which proves that you are obviously depressed. Look at your hooves, all split, and needing a trim. And look at all that stuff under them. How long since they have been cleaned? I'm ashamed of both of you standing here in public looking like you look, with women and children walking by here looking at you."

The man walked away, stepped over the fence and walked on down the path. The two buffalo just stood there looking at each other. Finally, the older buffalo said to the younger buffalo, "You know, it's been a long time, . . . but I think what we just heard was a discouraging word!"
